Debra A. White currently serves as Deputy Director at Flanner House of Indianapolis, Inc. She has been with the organization for 4 years. She supervises the Center for Working Families and Seniors Programs. Debra Co-teaches the Skills to Success Class (Job Readiness). Assist the Executive Director with day to day oversight (staff and program management), writing grant proposals and maintaining reports. Debra is a graduate of Jarvis Christian College (Hawkins, TX) where she earned her BA in Religion and Sociology, and Christian Theological Seminary (Indianapolis, IN) where she earned her Master of Divinity degree. Debra serves as a Part-time Adjunct Professor of Biblical and Business Ethics at Oakland City University (Indianapolis), a post she has faithfully fulfilled for ten (10) years. Debra has been a certified Fundraiser Grant-Writer through the IUPUI School of Philanthropy since 2008. Throughout the years Debra has coordinated fundraiser and has written several grants for Project Impact, Mentoring programs and currently Flanner House of Indianapolis, Inc. Debra has served as the Executive Director of Project Impact-Indianapolis, a nonprofit agency. In this role, Debra coordinated services for 70-100 families monthly, manages a staff of 25 social services professionals (full time, part time, and contract) and 100 volunteers, and assists the CEO with providing fiscal oversight of the agency’s 1.2-million-dollar annual budget. Project Impact-Indianapolis, a regional affiliate training center, targeted youth offenders and their families who are referred from the schools and juvenile courts for counseling, life skills, mentoring, and character development. Project Impact served over 3,000 families since its inception. 70% of the graduates of Project Impact did not re-offend as juveniles and 90% did not re-offend as adults. Debra gave oversight to over 60 programs at Light of the World Christian Church (membership of 2,000) as Pastor of Christian Education and Programs. In these roles she provided daily oversight of the program’s budget and participated in staff and volunteers hiring and evaluations. In daily oversight she maintained calendars, scheduling of events and facility care. Debra is married to Anderson White, III (Account Manager at Mays Chemical and Youth Director at Light of the World Christian Church), her soul mate of 22 years. Their marriage has been blessed with the joy of their life, Angelica Jeanette White (12).
