Our Annual Gala is certainly a celebration, but sponsorship is about something much bigger than a single night. It is an investment in what becomes possible the morning after the celebration ends.

For 128 years, Flanner House has existed because people believed that strong communities are built when we invest in the people, ideas, institutions, and assets already present within them. That belief remains at the heart of our work today.

A Gala sponsorship helps sustain an interconnected ecosystem serving children, families, entrepreneurs, elders, and neighbors across generations. It supports early childhood education and workforce development. It helps us grow food, expand pathways to homeownership, support Black-owned businesses, provide culturally responsive mental health services, and create spaces where community, culture, and commerce can thrive together.

But sponsorship is not charity.

It is partnership.

When an organization sponsors the Gala, it is saying that the future of our community matters to them. It is recognizing that healthy neighborhoods require more than programs; they require long-term investment in people, place, ownership, opportunity, and possibility.

Our theme this year, REFLECTIONS — Celebrating 128 Years of Light, Love, and Legacy, asks us to honor those who built this institution while accepting responsibility for what we build next.

The Gala gives us one evening to celebrate the legacy. Sponsorship helps ensure that the work continues long after the lights go down, the tables are cleared, and the last guest leaves.
